After over five years talking about this, it is disappointing to have to report a further delay to completion of the ring main to distribute water around the Park from the new borehole.  Water has been available from the borehole since January, but is still only being used to top up the Kyoto lake during another severe drought.  The ring main to serve the northern sector should be completed this month, but we now learn that there is insufficient money to install the southern ring main.  The Friends are donating £15,000 towards the irrigation system and recently offered a further sum on condition that the whole ring main was installed now.  Sadly, the Borough could not find the necessary balance.
