Local Businesses Offer Discounts to our Members

One of the benefits of being a member of The Friends is the Friends & Neighbours programme, which allows members a discount on purchases from businesses local to Holland Park, our Neighbours. We aim to build a community of interest around the park, to encourage new members to join the Friends and we want to give something back to our loyal members.

Discounts are available on showing a current membership card for The Friends when making a purchase. So far, we have more than a dozen Neighbours. If you are already a member, do visit them. If you are not yet a member, do join The Friends and benefit from the discounts.

The Design Museum

Design MuseumThe Design Museum, with its wonderful parabolic roof, is a familiar sight to all Holland Park visitors. Since its re-opening in 2018, the stunning new interior gives a sense of anticipation as soon as you enter the building. There is a permanent exhibition from the Museum's collection, temporary exhibitions, talks, workshops and events. The Design Museum is devoted to contemporary design in every form, from architecture and fashion to graphics, product and industrial design. The main atrium is a wonderful place to sit and reflect on your experience.

Holland Park Café by Daisy Green

 Under new ownership, this café has been given an upgrade with a bright new interior and new menu. It offers good coffee at a fair price, with a choice of pastries and sandwiches. There are light dishes, made with responsibly-sourced fresh ingredients in a Mediterranean style, with accents of Asian flavours. There’s plenty of choice, whether you want a quick coffee, a meal, or one of Daisy Green’s special breakfasts. It’s a great meeting place for visitors to the park.

The plants for sale change with the season and you can find unusual gems among the more recognisable trees, shrubs and annuals. The staff show real interest and are great on advice, from what to plant to how to plant it and what treatment it needs to survive. They also sell cut flowers and house plants.

ChakraThe flavourful North Indian cuisine with Punjabi influences is not the only attraction of this gem of a restaurant, tucked away in Holland Street. A chakra is a centre of spiritual and healing power within the body and this is represented in the jewel colours and fabrics of the interior, so that the environment, as well as the food, gives pleasure. The focus is on dishes cooked in the tandoor, as well as a selection of dishes from several other regions of the sub-continent. Menus change regularly and include Indian brunch and afternoon tea. SadafSadaf, a well-establish Persian restaurant, has recently moved to Kensington.
